Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The low weight of 1595 grams offers numerous advantages, such as easier acceleration after a turn and faster uphill riding.
- Excellent all-round wheelset because of their balance between rigidity, weight, and rim depth.
- Good power transfer thanks to the G3 spoke pattern, the high flange and shorter spokes in the rear wheel.
- These wheels are very popular because of their extremely interesting price/performance ratio and are the counterpart to the Fulcrum Racing 3 at a more interesting price level.
- Multi-purpose from training to racing, both in hilly terrain and on flat roads.
- The larger distance between the individual spokes makes it harder to true the wheel.

G3 spoke geometry
Campagnolo has devised a spoke pattern which, compared to a traditionally spoked wheel, makes it possible to improve energy transfer and reduce the load on the spokes on the right-hand side. This is achieved in the G3 spoke geometry with twice the number of spokes on the right side than on the left for more lateral stiffness.
A system with which you replace the spoke nipples using a magnet. This is required as there are no spoke holes on the outside of the rim.
DYNAMIC BALANCE
The concept is both simple and elegant: balance the wheel by placing a small weight opposite of the valve.
DIFFERENTIATED RIM HEIGHT
26 mm in the front for optimal handling, 30 mm in the back for optimal power transmission.
SPOKE ANTI-ROTATION SYSTEM
Keep the spokes in the right place when tightening the spokes.
G3 GEOMETRY
The right side of the rear wheel has twice as many spokes as the left side. The extra forces applied to the drive side of the wheel are handled better because of this. This improves the power transfer efficiency, increases the lateral rigidity, and lowers the stresses imposed on the spokes.
- Campagnolo quick release skewers
- 9/10-speed spacer (for the wheelset with Shimano body)
• (possibly a torque wrench)
Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette
• Make sure the rim tape is stuck well in the rim
• On both the front and rear wheel, there is a small adjustment screw on the left-hand side to adjust the side play

Excellent value for money for a pair of training wheels
Excellent wheelset for training or everyday use at a good price/performance ratio. To be compared with the mavic ksyrium in range, but far from expensive.

Quality and price
After 6 years of using carbon wheels, I'm rediscovering the great feeling of braking on aluminium! What a pleasure! Responsive wheels. The weight is more than reasonable for the price, but the only downside is the lack of momentum once the wheels are up and running. Ideal wheels for touring cyclists looking for simplicity and decent wheels without letting themselves get paid. Rather climbing-oriented. Very good braking.

Slim and light and pretty!
Actually, I only needed a rear wheel with a 135 mm mounting dimension for a Campagnolo 10-speed freehub. The market is very limited, so I had to order the wheelset. It fits perfectly and enhances the vintage steel racer (Gianni Motta Personal 2001 R).

Highly recommended, thank you very much.
This is the second item I have bought (two sets of wheels) and everything is ok.

Nice wheels neatly finished,cool.
I needed new rear wheel due to rusted cassette body. I immediately ordered a new set of wheels and the Zonda by Campagnola came out well in the reviews. Just look solid and finished and well aligned. Funny thing is that I now have a Shimano drive train with Campagnola wheels. Photo attached, is not very clear but believe me it looks slick.
